Job summary

Arabelle Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to bring new products into production and enhance existing processes in a high-value, low-volume environment. You will develop manufacturing methods, ensure readiness with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement for quality and efficiency.

The role emphasizes APQP, PFMEA, and process mapping to reduce risk and improve manufacturability, with involvement in DFMs and ensuring delivery performance for UK Defence projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Manufacturing, Process, Methods, or Industrial Engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Mapping.
• Experience producing FAIR documentation and Inspection & Test Plans.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead APQP activities for new products and process changes.
• Develop and maintain Process Maps, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and manufacturing documentation.
• Create and manage FAIR packages and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Drive Design for Manufacture (DFM) reviews to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost.
• Identify and reduce manufacturing risks through structured problem-solving and process optimisation.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure manufacturing readiness.
• Support continuous improvement projects that enhance productivity, quality, and delivery performance.
