Job summary

The successful candidate will have 5-axis machining exposure, experience with tooling and process documentation, and proficiency with Solidworks or other CAD tools. This on-site role offers a day shift pattern in Alcester.

Qualifications

• Prev experience in Automotive / Aerospace & Defence/ Power Gen, Medical, Nuclear, Food and Drink.
• Key skills - 5 Axis Machine Experience, Press Tool Design, Engineering competence, Sheet metal and fabrications experience.
• Desgin Experience: Solidworks (Not essential, variants are acceptable, i.e catia, NX)

Responsibilities

• Support the Manufacturing Manager and Team Leaders by sharing objectives on EHS, Quality, Cost and Delivery.
• Participate in walk-the-floor routines and in the Daily Operations and Standard Diary meetings.
• Take ownership of problems assigned to the ME function for resolution.
• Contribute to the EHS Model through Job Safety Observations and technical solutions.
• Understand process constraints and participate in problem-solving to improve flow.
• Create and control manufacturing documentation: set-up packs, drawings, SOPs, etc.
• Take accountability for actions across departments requiring ME support.
• Ensure tooling is designed, manufactured and available to support milestones.
• Project manage problem solutions with suppliers or customers and PFMEA activities.
• Participate in internal and external audits and implement required improvements.
