Job summary

Owen Daniels in Northampton is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to develop, optimise and maintain multi-axis CNC programmes using CAM software and to design tooling and fixtures for efficient production processes.

The role requires solid manufacturing engineering background, GD&T knowledge, and a qualification such as HNC/HND or a degree or apprenticeship. Day shifts, permanent full-time position, salary dependant on experience plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven CAM programming experience.
• Manufacturing engineering experience in relevant sectors.
• Experience in manufacturing, production engineering and fixture design.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and problem solving.
• Relevant HNC, HND, degree-level qualification or apprentice training.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and maintain multi-axis CNC programmes using CAM software.
• Design and implement effective production tooling, fixtures and manufacturing solutions.
• Take ownership of manufacturing processes from concept through to production.
• Support new product introduction, process development and continuous improvement on the shop floor.
• Provide technical support to production teams while ensuring Quality & H&S compliance.
