Overview

Waters Longbridge is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team!

Working at the newly purpose-built site, the Manufacturing Engineer will set up production processes capable of producing precision components. You will ensure robust systems are in place for the production team to manufacture quality components consistently.

The role is varied and benefits from a multi-disciplined engineer who enjoys developing new products from DFM to production handover, as well as supporting the production and quality teams in root cause analysis and providing permanent solutions to quality defects.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop new product manufacturing processes.
2. Program, set, and operate CNC equipment.
3. Create manufacturing standard operating procedures.
4. Identify improvements to existing manufacturing processes and equipment.
5. Procure new or replacement manufacturing equipment.
6. Complete NCRs.
7. Support root cause analysis.

Qualifications:

Education: HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline and/or proven experience in a similar role.

Experience:

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience programming, setting, and operating multi-axis milling, turning, and grinding machines.
• Knowledge of Heidenhain and Mazatrol controls is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience using inspection equipment.

Competencies:

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for reporting and data analysis is preferred.
