Vickerstock is supporting an established Northern Ireland engineering and manufacturing business in Lisburn to hire a Manufacturing Design Engineer (CAD/CAM). The successful candidate will take designs from R&D and develop manufacture-ready drawings, BOMs and manufacturing information for production.

This on-site role involves 60% design for manufacture, 20% CAD/CAM nesting and machine programming, and 20% process improvement, with close collaboration with Production, R&D and Quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or CAD/CAM role.
• Strong 3D CAD experience and good understanding of DFMs.
• Experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment and factory floor exposure.

Responsabilités

• Take designs from R&D and develop them for manufacture.
• Produce and update 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Prepare drawings and technical information for Production.
• Review designs for efficient manufacturing and process improvements.
• Carry out CAD/CAM nesting and programming for manufacturing machinery.
• Support new products and design changes through to production.
