Job summary

Strongdor Limited is hiring an Assistant Management Accountant at its Morecambe site. The role focuses on stock reconciliations, balance sheet accuracy, and robust financial controls to support decision-making.

You will travel between local sites and manage monthly closing tasks while maintaining compliance with policies. The position offers a salary of 35k–40k per annum plus a quarterly discretionary bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out account reconciliations.
• Experience accounting for stock and inventory.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• AAT part-qualified, fully qualified, or currently studying towards CIMA or ACA.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key balance sheet reconciliations, including stock and factory-related accounts.
• Prepare and maintain accurate stock reconciliations and accounting records.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of financial controls and processes.
• Help ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and reliable.
• Work with Readsoft purchase ledger system to ensure invoices are posted accurately and on time.
• Assist with month-end activities and finance projects.
• Collaborate with teams across the business to improve systems, processes, and controls.
• Ensure financial records comply with company policies and accounting standards.
• Process fixed asset additions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Regularly review inventory balances to maintain accuracy.
• Analyze spending patterns, identify trends, highlight risks, and spot opportunities to reduce costs.
