Job summary

Major Recruitment North West Perms is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire. The role offers £32,000 per annum for a full-time, permanent opportunity and will involve supporting month-end reporting and budgeting across multiple UK entities.

The ideal candidate is part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), possesses strong Excel skills, and can work independently while collaborating with site and finance teams. Occasional UK travel is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly management accounts across four UK entities.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments and other month-end journals.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain fixed asset registers.
• Analyse variances, identify trends and explain changes in financial performance.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with input from department managers.
• Assist with cash flow management and projections.
• Collaborate with site managers and finance colleagues for timely reporting.
• Support accounts payable/receivable processes and supplier interactions.
• Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.
• Occasionally travel to other UK sites as required.
