Job summary

Trial Balance is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant for our client in Helston. You will support monthly management accounts, assist with month-end procedures and bank reconciliations, and help manage payables/receivables.

You’ll create invoices, monitor aged debtors and collaborate with the Finance Manager on ad-hoc tasks. The role suits candidates aiming to progress in management reporting, ideally with part or full AAT qualifications and strong IT skills with Sage or Xero.

Assistant Management Accountant – Helston - Circa: £30,000

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively re-engaged by one of our longstanding clients, a highly successful and rapidly expanding services business consisting several group entities operating across a broad range of sectors. They currently seek to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team, a permanent, full-time position to be based at the company’s headquarters set in a beautiful location close to Helston.

This is a broad role which will play a key part in supporting the finance function, reporting into an experienced and friendly Finance Manager. The opportunity would be particularly well suited to a candidate that seeks to enhance their management accounting skills, ultimately taking overall responsibility for the production of high quality management information. Main duties of the role to include:

• Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Assisting with all month end procedures to tight deadlines
• Ensure efficient accounts payable and receivable controls
• Bank/balance sheet reconciliations
• Creating invoices and dealing with any discrepancies and queries
• Monitoring the aged debtor
• Supporting the Finance Manager with various ad-hoc duties and tasks
• Work closely with colleagues outside of finance
