Major Recruitment North West Perms is assisting an established business in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. You will gain exposure to reporting, planning and the day-to-day finance function, supporting four UK entities and collaborating with site managers.

You will bring experience in assistant management accounting, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, strong Excel skills and the ability to organise priorities and meet deadlines.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in assistant management accounting or similar finance role with month-end exposure.
• Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent status, with ongoing studies.
• Strong understanding of management accounting principles.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Assist with monthly management accounts across four UK entities.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments and other month-end journals.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain fixed asset registers.
• Analyse variances, identify trends and explain changes in financial performance.
• Support budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with departmental managers.
• Assist with cashflow management and projections.
• Liaise with site managers and finance colleagues for timely reporting.
• Support recruitment and day-to-day management of accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Contribute to process improvements and finance system enhancements.
