Job summary

Leonardo Edinburgh offers a three-year Manufacturing Apprenticeship in a dynamic manufacturing environment, combining college study with on-site rotations across multiple disciplines to build hands-on expertise in radar and laser systems.

You will gain SVQ Level 2, NC Engineering, and an EAL Diploma with on-the-job training and support from the Early Careers team to protect study time and enable progression.

Qualifications

• 4 National 5 (A-C) or equivalent.
• Mandatory: Mathematics.
• Mandatory: English.
• Plus another two subjects, preferably technological subjects such as Graphic Communication, Product Design, Craft & Design, Tech Studies, Computing, Woodwork, Metalwork.

Responsibilities

• Attend college full-time for SVQ Level 2 during first five months, then undertake rotational placements (Mechanical Assembly, Electromechanical Assembly, Electro Optic Assembly, Environmental Facility, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, Machine Shop and Repairs).
• After the final placement, achieve NC Engineering and EAL Diploma in Engineering SCQF Level 7 upon successful completion.
