Leonardo in Edinburgh offers a four-year Manufacturing Technical Apprenticeship with rotations through testing of radar and laser systems, and time for college study to SVQ, then HND. You will learn to test complex systems in a modern facility and contribute to manufacturing processes while developing core engineering competencies.

Salary starts at £21,000, with a strong focus on safety, security vetting and career progression within Leonardo’s world-class teams.

Formación

• 3 x Higher Grades (or equivalent) required.
• Mandatory: Mathematics (A-C) and Physics (A-C) or Engineering Science (A-C).
• Plus another Higher subject (A-C), preferably a tech subject (e.g. Graphic Communication, Product Design, Craft & Design, Tech Studies, Computing).
• Standard Grades/National 5: English (A-C).
• Note: not suitable for candidates with an HNC.

Responsabilidades

• During Years 1 and 2 you will attend college full-time for SVQ Level 2 and undertake rotational placements.
• You will gain practical skills in electrical and mechanical testing in a state-of-the-art facility.
• During Years 3 and 4 you will undertake a final placement and pursue HND level study.
• Rotational placements provide broad experience across Leonardo’s engineering verification and test.
