Job summary

Ips Group in the Malton area is recruiting a Manufacturing Accountant to join a production-driven business. The role blends management accounting with analysis of manufacturing performance and requires close collaboration with production and operational teams.

You will work in a small finance function, using ERP and finance data to understand costs, stock movements, margins and areas of variance while contributing to budgets, forecasts and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing finance, stock and costing.
• Ability to produce management accounts from production data.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis ability.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management information and supporting analysis.
• Work with manufacturing data to understand movements in labour, materials, overheads and margins.
• Review stock and work in progress, investigating significant movements and discrepancies.
• Complete core month-end accounting including reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Provide useful financial information to production and operational management.
• Contribute to budgets, forecasts and ongoing performance reporting.
• Analyse variances and identify the operational factors behind financial results.
• Support the development of reporting, controls and finance processes.
• Assist with wider financial accounting and year-end requirements as part of a small finance team.
