Job summary

IPS Finance is recruiting a Manufacturing Accountant for the Malton area. The role blends management accounting with analysis of manufacturing performance, with regular contact with production and other operational teams. You will work from a small finance function to understand costs, stock movements and margins.

Salary £50,000 - £55,000 and involvement in budgets, forecasts and year-end activities are key parts of the role. Manufacturing experience and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing finance including stock, WIP and costing.
• Ability to produce management accounts and relevant analysis.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with financial and operational data.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management information and supporting analysis.
• Work with manufacturing data to understand movements in labour, materials, overheads and margins.
• Review stock and work in progress, investigate movements and discrepancies.
• Complete core month-end accounting including reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Provide useful financial information to production and operational management.
• Contribute to budgets, forecasts and ongoing performance reporting.
• Analyse variances and identify operational factors behind financial results.
• Support development of reporting, controls and finance processes.
• Assist with wider financial accounting and year-end requirements as part of a small finance team.
