Job summary

Qualifications

• Accredited Manual Handling Trainer qualification is required.
• Experience delivering moving and handling training in health, social care, education or residential settings.
• Ability to assess competency and provide constructive feedback.
• Knowledge of person-centred approaches and least restrictive practice.
• Experience using hoists, slings, transfer aids and specialist equipment.
• Builds positive relationships and inspires others.
• Ability to engage a room and make the subject engaging.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging moving and handling training across the organisation.
• Facilitate induction, refresher and specialist training sessions.
• Assess competency and provide practical workplace coaching.
• Support managers to address identified development needs.
• Work with therapists, managers and operational colleagues on complex handling requirements.
• Promote safe working practices and injury prevention.
• Help ensure regulatory and best practice compliance.
• Protect colleagues and the people we support.
