Job summary

David Lewis is hiring a Manual Handling Assessor Trainer to join the Learning & Development team. You will deliver engaging moving and handling training, facilitate inductions and refresher sessions, and assess competency with practical coaching across services to ensure safe, person-centred support.

You’ll collaborate with therapists, managers and care staff on complex needs, promoting best practices and injury prevention.

Qualifications

• Holds an accredited Manual Handling Trainer qualification
• Experience delivering moving and handling training in health, social care, education or residential settings
• Ability to assess competency and provide constructive feedback
• Understands person-centred approaches and least restrictive practice

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging moving and handling training across the organisation
• Facilitate induction, refresher and specialist training sessions
• Assess competency and provide practical workplace coaching
• Support managers to address identified development needs
• Work with therapists, managers and operations on complex handling requirements
• Promote safe working practices and injury prevention
• Help ensure compliance with regulatory and best practice requirements
