Job summary

Caliber8 Pte Ltd is seeking a Manning Operations Officer to coordinate crew changes and support marine personnel administration for its tanker fleet. The role involves planning, liaising with vessels and agents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements to maintain smooth ship operations.

The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant crewing experience, good English communication skills, and strong organisational abilities to manage records and administrative tasks

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE O-Level, A-Level or equivalent qualification.
• Maritime Studies or Nautical Studies qualifications would be advantageous.
• 1+ year of relevant crewing or marine personnel operations experience preferred.
• Good written and spoken English to communicate with vessels, agents and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor crew changes to ensure smooth operations.
• Liaise with vessels, port agents and recruitment agents on crew movements and marine personnel matters.
• Verify crew certificates and documentation for validity and completeness.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company marine personnel policies.
• Maintain crew records and administer the ship management system per procedures.
• Manage crew appraisal reports, P&I docs, and invoices related to port and travel arrangements.
• Provide administrative support and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, arrange and monitor crew changes to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.

• Liaise with vessels, port agents and recruitment agents on crew movements and marine personnel matters.

• Verify crew certificates and documentation to ensure they are valid and complete.

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and company marine personnel policies.

• Maintain crew records and administer the ship management system in accordance with company procedures.

• Manage crew appraisal reports, P& I-related documentation, and invoices relating to port and travel arrangements.

• Provide administrative support and undertake other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE O-Level, A-Level or equivalent qualification.

• Qualifications in Maritime Studies, Nautical Studies or Maritime Transportation would be advantageous.

• At least 1 year of relevant working experience, preferably in crewing or marine personnel operations.

• Good written and spoken English to communicate with vessels, agents and other stakeholders.

• Good organisational and coordination skills, with attention to detail.

• Responsible, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team.
