TALENT TITANS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Marine Executive (Ship management) for its global fleet.

The role covers vessel registration, marine insurance, claims handling, and drafting ship management agreements. Reports to senior management and offers a permanent, full-time position. Responsibilities include handling registrations across international registries, coordinating with owners, insurers, and legal partners, and ensuring compliance with BIMCO SHIPMAN, CBA, and MLC.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Maritime Business or Shipping; other degrees considered with longer experience.
• At least 2 years' experience in ship registration or marine insurance claims.
• Knowledge of BIMCO Ship Management Agreement, CBA and MLC.
• Independent and hands-on with clear written and spoken communication.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Willing to work outside normal office hours when required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; good team player in a multinational environment.
• Committed to health, safety, quality, environmental, energy and cyber security practices.

Responsibilities

• Handle ship registrations with international registries and related P&I matters.
• Work with owners and legal parties on mortgages and charter registrations.
• Manage Hull & Machinery, P&I, Freight, Demurrage & Defence insurance and claims.
• Maintain records of P&I cases and liaise with clubs on crew claims.
• Coordinate with crewing and technical departments for claim documents.
• Maintain relationships with marine insurance brokers for quotes and cover.
• Check invoices from registries, brokers and service providers.
• Prepare BIMCO SHIPMAN agreements for new vessels and related documents.
• Arrange COFR, ICB and certificates for trading internationally.
• Support EU ETS and carbon pricing related to marine operations.
• Liaise with lawyers on legal matters and assist with crewing budgets.

About the job Marine Executive (Ship management)

A Singapore-based ship management company is looking for a Marine Executive to handle vessel registration, marine insurance and claims, and ship management agreements for its managed fleet. This is a permanent, full-time role reporting to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Handle ship registration with international registries such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Marshall Islands, Liberia, Panama and Isle of Man, including vessels coming into management and sale and purchase matters.
• Work with owners and legal parties on ship mortgages and bareboat charter registration requirements.
• Manage Hull and Machinery (H&M), Protection and Indemnity (P&I), Freight, Demurrage and Defence (FD&D) and other insurance covers for the managed fleet, and follow up on claims with insurers and brokers.
• Keep records of P&I cases and onboard crew medical cases, and liaise with P&I clubs on crew claims reimbursement.
• Coordinate with the crewing, technical and other departments to gather documents for H&M and crew-related P&I claims.
• Maintain good relationships with marine insurance brokers to obtain quotations and place cover when needed.
• Check and approve invoices from ship registries, insurance brokers and other service providers.
• Prepare ship management agreements (BIMCO SHIPMAN) for vessels newly taken over, and support management with related documents and manager's undertakings.
• Arrange COFR, ICB and other certificates needed for trading in the USA and other countries.
• Support the technical and marine departments on EU ETS and other carbon pricing schemes.
• Liaise with lawyers on legal matters, and assist with ad hoc tasks such as crewing budgets.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Maritime Business or Shipping. A degree in another discipline with long relevant experience will also be considered.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in ship registration or marine insurance claims handling, preferably with a shipowner or ship management company.
• Knowledge of the BIMCO Ship Management Agreement, CBA and MLC.
• Independent and hands-on, with clear written and spoken communication with flag states, shipowners, insurers and other external parties.
• Strong negotiation skills, a sense of urgency and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Willing to work outside normal office hours when required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), and a good team player in a multinational environment.
