Job summary

A Vessel Accountant role with a multinational ship management company currently based in Singapore is seeking a candidate to join the local finance team. The role covers full sets of vessel accounts, financial reporting, AP/AR, intercompany transfers and reconciliations.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, it offers exposure to maritime finance and year-end activities. Candidates from any industry with a Degree in Accounting and relevant full-set accounting experience are welcome; prior shipping

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Accountancy required.
• At least two years of accounting experience including full-set accounts.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Shipping or vessel accounting experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vessel accounts and financial reports with supporting schedules.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, payments and collections.
• Process crew payroll/portage bill accounting.
• Raise funding requests and monitor receipts.
• Coordinate intercompany transfers and balance reconciliations.
• Respond to shipowners' accounting queries and support reporting.
• Support year-end processes and audits (SOX) and other finance duties.

• Strong accounting knowledge, accuracy and attention to detail.

• Good analytical, organisational and communication skills.
