Job summary

People First Team China 中国团队 is hiring for a Mandarin-speaking Senior Associate Customer Due Diligence. The role focuses on ensuring AML/KYC/CDD compliance, monitoring transactions, and coordinating with internal teams to maintain regulatory standards. A banking background is preferred and a degree in finance or related fields is required.

Based in the UK office, the position is full-time with 35 hours weekly. Start date ASAP, with salary dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related subject.
• Experience in Financial Services, ideally Banking.
• Proven AML, KYC and CDD experience including onboarding, periodic reviews or remediation projects.
• Knowledge of FATCA, JMLSG, AML and FCA; GDPR understanding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily transaction monitoring and escalate alerts as needed.
• Perform CDD reviews for existing clients within required timelines; ensure quality of reviews.
• Ensure reviews meet Financial Crime and Compliance standards and maintain consistency.
• Coordinate with internal teams for discrepancies or additional information.
• Respond to customer queries and resolve issues promptly.
• Oversee daily transactions and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Communicate Source of Wealth and Source of Funds details as part of CDD reviews.
• Guide on complex processes and operational challenges as needed.
