Job summary

Join Manchester City Women at the City Football Academy as a permanent, part-time Kitchen Assistant in Manchester. You will work 18.5 hours per week, with the opportunity to pick up additional hours depending on the football schedule.

You will help keep the kitchen and refectory clean, safe and ready for service, support basic food preparation, and work closely with chefs and catering colleagues to maintain high hygiene and service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a kitchen assistant or in a catering environment.
• Knowledge of manual and mechanical cleaning equipment and procedures.
• Level 1 Food Hygiene certificate or willingness to work towards one.
• Level 1 Allergy Awareness certificate or willingness to work towards one.
• Ability to follow food hygiene, COSHH, manual handling, health and safety, fire and security procedures.
• Flexible and dependable approach with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen and refectory clean, safe and ready for service.
• Clean and sterilise equipment, surfaces and areas; operate dishwasher; complete deep-clean tasks.
• Receive and store deliveries; manage waste in line with recycling procedures.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with COSHH guidance.
• Support basic food preparation and maintain high hygiene and service standards.
• Follow health and safety, fire and security procedures.
