Job summary

Sheffield United Football Club is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant to join the Academy team. You will support kitchen staff in preparing nutritious meals for players and staff, while maintaining high hygiene standards.

Experience in a kitchen and strong food hygiene knowledge are essential. The role requires good communication, teamwork, and adherence to safeguarding and COSHH regulations. On-site working pattern at the Training Academy.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment is essential.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Properly cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas according to hygiene standards.
• Preparing food when required, including washing, peeling, chopping fruit and vegetables.
• Washing and storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, etc.
• Ensuring correct storage of food produce with appropriate temperatures.
• Supporting cleanliness of the work environment, sweeping and mopping floors, and waste disposal.
• Assisting with unloading deliveries and stock rotation to prevent wastage.
• Adhere to COSHH Regulations for chemical storage and safety.
• Follow safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion policies.
