Kier Group - Managing Quantity Surveyor

Kier Group is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME), our internal MEP Self Delivery business.

Kier Mechanical & Electrical supports our internal build teams across the UK, providing full design, construction, and commissioning capabilities in sectors including Defence, Health/Science, Custodial, Commercial, and Education.

Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire or London.

Contract: Full Time, Permanent. Flexible options available—ask us for details.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial resources across assigned projects to maximize gross margin.
• Support preconstruction activities across a project framework.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure consistency across projects.
• Implement lessons learned to improve practices across projects.
• Manage valuations, cashflows, forecasts, risks, and margins.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience managing and reporting on multiple projects.
• Experience in the Defence sector is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with projects exceeding £20 million in MEP values.
• Experience in preconstruction activities.
