Kier Group - Managing Quantity Surveyor

Kier Group is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME), our internal MEP Self Delivery business.

Kier Mechanical & Electrical supports our internal build teams across the UK, offering full design, construction, and commissioning capabilities in sectors including Defence, Health/Science, Custodial, Commercial, and Education.

Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire or London.

Contract: Full Time, Permanent. Other flexible options available upon inquiry.

Responsibilities

As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the management of commercial resources across your assigned projects to maximize planned gross margins.

Daily Activities

• Supporting preconstruction activities across multiple projects.
• Engaging with stakeholders to ensure consistent approaches across projects.
• Implementing a core team approach to incorporate lessons learned and evolve practices.
• Managing valuations, cash flows, turnover forecasts, risks, and margins.

Candidate Requirements

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience managing and reporting on a portfolio of projects.
• Experience with projects in the Defence sector is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with projects involving MEP values over £20 million.
• Experience in preconstruction activities.
