Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a leading tier 1 main contractor near Reading. You will oversee multiple projects concurrently, contribute to pre-construction and live-site activities, and drive work-winning initiatives.

You will manage and develop a commercial team, oversee CVRs, and maintain strong client relationships across education, defence, commercial, and leisure sectors in a busy Hampshire travel pattern. A UK work right is required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of overseeing multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Experience managing and developing teams.
• Must live within commutable distance to Reading and be happy to travel around Hampshire.
• Must have the full right to work in the UK.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a leading tier 1 main contractor based just outside of Reading. The business is privately owned and operates nationally from several regional offices across the country. They work across several sectors including education, defence, commercial, mixed-use residential and leisure sectors valuing from £10mil - £100mil.

With a project pipeline building on the South Coast, they're now looking to expand their commercial team.

About the role of Managing Quantity Surveyor:

As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects concurrently, either in pre-construction or live on site. You will be involved in work winning.

Key Responsibilities as Managing Quantity Surveyor:

• Heavy involvement in bidding / work-winning
