Job summary

Tier 1 Main Contractor in Suffolk is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead a key project valued at over £100m. You will oversee a team of Quantity Surveyors, supply CVRs, manage sub-contractor payments, variations and final accounts, and report to directors.

The role requires 5+ years experience at Senior/Managing QS level on large build projects, with proven leadership and strong communication skills, plus experience on projects over £50m.

Qualifications

• Degree or MSc in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable qualification.
• Minimum 5 years experience at a Senior or Managing QS level leading new build projects c 50m+.

Responsibilities

• Producing CVRs and managing team workload.
• Handling payments from sub-contractors, variations and final accounts.
• Reporting to directors and helping build the team and regional growth.

Company & Project: A successful Tier 1 Main Contractor with stable pipeline of secured projects across Suffolk have a new and exciting opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their business and lead a a key project valued at over 100m., Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for working across all commercial management functions on a large project overseeing a team of Quantity Surveyors.

Key duties include: producing CVRs, managing team workload to include applications for payment from sub-contractors, variations and preparation of final accounts. You will be reporting at a senior level to directors and help build the team and overall growth of the region.

The company are looking for a candidate that has experience managing others and is looking to make a decisive step in their career.

They will consider experienced Senior QS candidates who have led projects over 50m looking for a step up or proven Managing QS candidates.

Previous experience leading projects over 50m in single value is essential for this position., Minimum 5 years experience at a Senior or Managing QS level leading new build projects c 50m+.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working on 2-stage projects would be advantageous.
• Sector experience to include atleast one of the following - Commercial, Industrial or Defence.
• Previous Roles: Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Managing QS OR Commercial Manager OR Lead Quantity Surveyor OR Principal Quantity Surveyor or Project Surveyor.

Qualifications & Skills: Degree or MSc in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable qualification.

Salary: c 95k- 105k basic (DOE) plus competitive package inc car allowance, healthcare, performance bonus and leading pension scheme.
