Fawkes & Reece Group in Oxford is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead and oversee multiple projects for a regional main contractor. You will report to the Commercial Manager and drive bid activity, CVR reviews, and contractual governance.

The role requires developing the commercial team, managing client relationships, and ensuring delivery against JCT/NEC contracts. A track record of leading projects and a willingness to commute to Oxford are essential.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a well regarded regional main contractor in Oxford. The business operates out of several regional offices across the South of England, undertaking projects across education, commercial, student accommodation and heritage valuing typically up to £25mil. The business has reported excellent profits year on year and are in a strong financial position.

They're now looking to expand the team with an additional Managing Quantity Surveyor.

About the role of Managing Quantity Surveyor:

As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects concurrently and will be responsible for the team members working on those schemes. You will be reporting into the Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities as Managing Quantity Surveyor:

• Heavy involvement in bidding / work-winning
• Overseeing CVRs and reporting upstream
• Involvement with any contractual disputes
• Management and developing of commercial team including appraisals
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

Key requirements for this Managing Quantity Surveyor role:

• Proven track record of overseeing multiple projects concurrently
• Strong understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract
• Experience managing and developing teams
• Must live within commutable distance to Oxford
• Must have the full right to work in the UK
