Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
  • Review, draft, and negotiate terms and conditions in contracts related to the commercialization of Werfen products in North America, including sales, service, and marketing agreements for the US and Canada.
  • Ensure offers, contracts, and amendments comply with sales and marketing guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance, legal, customer service, and compliance during contract development to ensure terms meet company standards and risk management practices.
  • Manage complex contract assignments and resolve disputes via the Sales Field Exception process. Work with Sales Analysts on cost and price analyses before contract approval.
  • Review and update standard agreement templates, identifying legal and compliance risks.
  • Train employees on basic contract review processes.
  • Participate in sales meetings to train and advise on negotiation strategies.
  • Maintain a library of accepted contracts and document common exceptions for future reference.
  • Work with the Director of Commercial Contracting to improve the contracting process, including streamlining templates and implementing management tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

  • Business or technical degree, or paralegal certificate, with 10+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience in the medical industry preferred.

Management may substitute relevant work experience for formal education or make exceptions based on experience.

  • Deep understanding of the contracting process, with proven contract drafting and review skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships.

Up to 5% travel required.
