Job summary

LivingCare Group in Leeds is seeking a Management Accountant (Financial Operations) to ensure accurate monthly close and oversee the transactional finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will own month-end postings, balance-sheet checks and cash forecasting while coaching junior staff.

You will drive process improvements, expand the Xero add-on stack, and support statutory accounts, VAT, and audit processes with strong controls.

Qualifications

• Qualified or near-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with strong financial control experience.
• Experience delivering month-end close and financial reporting to a high standard.
• Coaching and developing junior finance staff while maintaining robust processes.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end postings and close tasks; reduce close cycle.
• Review balance sheet and P&L movements for accuracy.
• Oversee AR/AP, stock, and treasury; approve routine payments.
• Support VAT returns and statutory accounts with auditors.
• Coach Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant and Apprentice.
