Job summary

Comms-care Group Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Management Accountant to join the controllership team in Northwich/Milton Keynes. You will deliver monthly management accounts, maintain governance, and support statutory reporting in a fast-paced service environment.

You’ll work with the Financial Controller on month-end close, prepare journals and VAT returns, and assist audits. AAT or ACCA/CIMA qualification and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA part-qualified/qualified.
• Experience in month-end close and management accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables and XLOOKUP.
• Strong control mindset with attention to detail.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced service environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet analysis.
• Post month-end journals: accruals, prepayments, COGS, payroll, intercompany and FX.
• Maintain the month-end close timetable with the Financial Controller.
• Produce variance commentary on actuals vs prior periods.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations across key accounts.
• Prepare VAT returns and HMRC compliance.
• Support internal and external audits with schedules and evidence.
• Liaise with payroll for journal accuracy and statutory deductions.
