Job summary

Investigo is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join their Finance team in Milton Keynes. In this role, you will ensure accurate month-end reporting and provide meaningful analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have strong month-end accounting skills and a deep understanding of P&L and balance sheet control. The position offers a competitive salary of approximately £55,000 plus a full benefits package and a hybrid working model.

We are seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join a growing Finance team within a multi-entity, contract-led services business.

You will play a key role in delivering accurate, timely month-end reporting, maintaining strong financial control, and providing meaningful analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making. The role combines technical accounting with business partnering across a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

This is well suited to someone who enjoys working in a B2B services environment, where operational performance, contract activity, and cost control directly drive financial results.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for assigned entities/business areas
• Own month-end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments and supporting schedules
• Deliver P&L and balance sheet analysis with clear variance commentary
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, resolving issues promptly
• Analyse revenue and cost performance across contracts, highlighting risks and opportunities
• Support revenue recognition and accrued income processes, working closely with operational and billing teams
• Review contract/customer profitability and key performance movements
• Support management reporting packs and monthly commentary
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting cycles
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of cost allocations and postings
• Support audit preparation and year-end reporting
• Contribute to process improvement and month-end efficiency initiatives
• Provide ad hoc analysis to the wider finance team
