Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a Management Accountant to join a growing finance function. The role covers month-end reporting, financial analysis, forecasting, and regulatory reporting with exposure to senior stakeholders.

You’ll work with the Finance Manager to provide accurate financial information, support commercial decision-making, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance and controls. ACCA/CIMA part-qualified candidates considered.

Qualifications

• Part or newly ACCA/CIMA qualified.
• Experienced in a management accounting environment.
• Advanced in Excel, with Power BI experience desirable.
• Familiar with accounting systems.
• Knowledgeable around accounting principles, financial controls, and relevant regulations.
• Able to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Highly organised, analytical, and commercially minded.
• A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable handling confidential and commercially sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Produce financial reports and monthly CFO reporting packs.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
• Complete variance analysis and provide clear commentary on business performance.
• Prepare income statements, balance sheets and supporting financial information.
• Assist with weekly and monthly cashflow forecasting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activity.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Assist with year-end accounts, audits, and statutory reporting.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors where required.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and controls.
• Present financial information and insights to senior stakeholders, including directors.
• Contribute to wider finance projects and business change initiatives.
• Attend quarterly budget meetings and provide financial input to decision-making.
