Paul Card Recruitment is partnering with a growing family-owned manufacturing business in Middlesbrough to recruit a Management Accountant. You will work directly with the CFO, owning management accounting, product costing, stock valuations, and weekly reporting.

This is a hands-on role that offers real influence over reporting, process improvements, and strategic finance decisions as the business scales. You’ll join a dynamic team and have the opportunity to develop your skills while taking on

Perhaps you've recently qualified, you're approaching the end of your studies, or you're ready for more than your current role can offer.

We're partnering with a successful, family-owned manufacturing business in Middlesbrough that has experienced significant growth.

You'll work directly alongside the CFO as their key support within finance, taking ownership of management accounting and gaining exposure to wider financial and commercial decisions.

The Role

You'll take ownership of key accounting and reporting activities, including:

• Monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Product costings, stock valuations and margin analysis.
• Weekly financial and operational reporting.
• Bringing outsourced accounting activities in-house.
• Improving financial systems and processes.

You'll work closely with operational teams, understanding how production costs, materials and labour influence profitability.

About You

You'll have hands-on manufacturing accounting experience, ideally including product costing, strong double-entry bookkeeping knowledge and advanced Excel skills.

You could be fully qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or AAT qualified with the practical accounting experience to back it up.

If you don't have formal accounting qualifications but have gained the relevant skills and experience throughout your career, we'd still love to hear from you.
