Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is partnering with a growing organisation to recruit a qualified or nearly qualified ACCA/CIMA Management Accountant who wants to influence business decisions and move beyond number production.

You will combine accounting expertise with commercial insight, acting as a trusted finance partner across HR and operations, and driving the story behind the numbers.

Qualifications

• ACCA or CIMA qualified / nearly qualified.
• Strong technically across management accounting.
• Confident with reconciliations, analysis and month-end.
• Commercially minded and interested in the bigger picture.
• Comfortable challenging and discussing variances.
• A confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Payroll analysis - reviewing and analysing monthly payroll information and highlighting variances.
• Reconciliations - taking ownership to ensure numbers are accurate.
• Budget vs actual analysis - understanding variances and reporting to Head of FP&A.
• Business partnering - developing relationships with HR and operational teams.
• Commercial business partnering - supporting the private side as the organisation diversifies.
• Stakeholder engagement - attending meetings and translating discussions into insights.
• Adding value - identifying improvements and communicating findings.

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT | QUALIFIED / NEARLY QUALIFIED | EXCITING BUSINESS PARTNERING OPPORTUNITY

Are you a qualified or nearly qualified ACCA/CIMA Management Accountant looking for a role where you can do more than just produce the numbers?

I'm working with a growing organisation that is looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant who wants to get closer to the business, understand what is really driving performance and have a genuine influence on decision-making.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the accounting AND the story behind the numbers.

What will you be doing?

• Payroll analysis - reviewing and analysing monthly payroll information, comparing it against budgets and highlighting variances to budget holders. This will require a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
• Reconciliations - taking ownership, getting stuck in and ensuring the numbers are accurate.
• Budget vs actual analysis - understanding the numbers, investigating variances and working closely with the Head of FP&A to explain what is happening and why.
• Business partnering - developing strong relationships with HR and wider operational teams and becoming a trusted finance partner.
• Commercial business partnering - supporting the private side of the organisation as it continues to diversify beyond its established customer base.
• Stakeholder engagement - attending meetings, understanding what is happening operationally and translating those conversations into meaningful financial insight.
• Adding value - reporting back on your findings, identifying what is working, what isn't and where improvements can be made.
