Job summary

KPI RECRUITING LTD is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to support a diverse client portfolio across sectors. You will prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts, deliver insightful financial analysis, and help business owners make informed decisions.

You will work closely with Client Managers and Directors, using Xero and cloud accounting to produce accurate reports, while developing client relationships and improving processes.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing management accounts in an accountancy practice or commercial finance environment.
• Strong understanding of management accounting principles, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Experience using Xero and other cloud accounting software.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Confident communication skills with both colleagues and clients.
• A proactive, organised approach to managing workloads.
• AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or qualified by experience.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients
• Producing profit & loss reports, balance sheets and supporting schedules
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations including bank, VAT, payroll, accruals and prepayments
• Investigating variances, identifying trends and highlighting areas of concern or opportunity
• Reviewing accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Preparing clear and meaningful financial reports for clients
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and gather information
• Building strong client relationships and developing an understanding of their businesses
• Working collaboratively with Client Managers, Directors and the Cloud Accounting team
• Supporting improvements to bookkeeping and financial reporting processes
• Using Xero and cloud-based accounting systems to deliver accurate reporting
