Job summary

Ethos is partnering with an established business to recruit a Part-Qualified Management Accountant. You will develop management accounting experience and progress toward full qualification while delivering accurate monthly reporting.

You will work closely with the finance team, support month-end processes and provide meaningful financial information to drive business performance, with opportunities to broaden experience across finance and commercial activities.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA actively pursuing qualification.
• Good understanding of management accounts and month-end processes.
• Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and ensure timely reporting.
• Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments as part of month-end.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Analyse financial performance, identify variances and provide commentary.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide financial information for decision-making.
• Assist with cash flow reporting and monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and controls.
• Support the wider finance team with ad hoc analysis and projects.

Working closely with the wider finance team, you will play an important role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end processes and providing meaningful financial information to help drive business performance.

The Role

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments as part of the month-end process.

About You

• Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA, actively working towards completing your qualification.
• Previous experience in an Assistant Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant or similar finance role.
• Good understanding of management accounts and month-end processes.
• Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial information.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues across a business.
• Motivated to develop professionally and take on additional responsibility.
