Job summary

Chase and Holland in Doncaster is seeking a seasoned Management Accountant for a minimum 12-month contract. You’ll own monthly management accounts, provide accurate reporting and partner with operational stakeholders to drive commercial insight.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll manage reconciliations, cashflow forecasting, VAT submissions and KPI analysis, with strong Excel and ERP (SAP) proficiency. A collaborative finance team environment and a tangible project impact await.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar finance role.
• Strong month-end reporting experience with analytics.
• Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journals and financial analysis.
• Strong Excel skills; ERP experience (SAP advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting reporting packs.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register.
• Producing cash flow forecasts and financial projections.
• Preparing and posting weekly and monthly journals.
• Calculating stock, bad debt and customer rebate provisions.
• Producing group reporting packs with commentary and variance analysis.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Delivering daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting.
• Supporting KPI reporting and performance analysis.
• Attending management meetings and partnering with key stakeholders.
• Providing cover for the Financial Controller.

The Role

Taking ownership, working closely with operational stakeholders and making a genuine impact within a fast‑paced commercial environment. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, management accounts and insightful analysis, while supporting the wider finance team throughout a significant business project.

You’ll ideally have

• Previous experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar finance role
• Strong experience producing monthly management accounts and month‑end reporting with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journals and financial analysis
• Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP systems (SAP experience would be advantageous but isn’t essential)
