Job summary

NC Associates are representing a well-established organisation based in Trafford Park seeking a Management Accountant. The role offers a competitive salary (£42,000–£48,000 DOE) and hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days at home).

You will deliver monthly management accounts, support commercial decision-making, and drive continuous improvement within the finance team. Training and career progression opportunities are on offer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Management Accountant role.
• ACCA / CIMA Part Qualified, Finalist, Newly Qualified or Qualified by Experience.
• Experience preparing monthly management accounts.
• Strong understanding of accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience producing budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
• A proactive and organised approach with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts with supporting commentary.
• Producing monthly profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow reports.
• Posting journals including accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances.
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
• Producing KPI reporting and financial analysis.
• Business partnering with operational managers across the business.
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
• Assisting with cash flow forecasting and performance reporting.
• Supporting ad-hoc finance projects as required.

NC Associates are working in partnership with a well-established and growing organisation based in Trafford Park to recruit a Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified, finalist, newly qualified or qualified by experience accountant looking to join a business that is continuing to grow and invest in its finance function.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting commercial decision-making and driving continuous improvement across the finance team. This position offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.

Management Accountant Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts with supporting commentary

Management Accountant Experience Required

To be successful in your application, you must have the following:

• Previous experience working within a Management Accountant position

• ACCA / CIMA Part Qualified, Finalist, Newly Qualified or Qualified by Experience
