Job summary

Forrest Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for a growing construction firm. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and gradually take ownership of duties to free them to focus on other areas.

AAT or CIMA qualifications are advantageous, but candidates with strong experience will be considered. You will produce monthly management accounts, perform reconciliations, VAT returns, year-end prep and other core financial tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience producing monthly management accounts for multiple divisions.
• Cost valuation reconciliation on a monthly basis.
• Inter-company reconciliation and recharge processes.
• Maintenance of fixed asset registers and depreciation.
• Internal plant calculations and standard costing.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and assist with year-end closing.
• Perform month-end journals and reconciliations across ledgers.
• Handle VAT returns and CIS submissions.
• Carry out bank and card reconciliations and payroll allocations.
• Support audit preparation and year-end processes.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a successful and growing construction firm. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and be aiming to take on a lot of her duties to free her up to concentrate on other ares of the business. Having AAT/CIMA would be an advantage, however qualified by experience will also be considered

• You will assist with and eventually take ownership of production of monthly management accounts for all divisions of the company
