Job summary

Forrest Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant ready to progress towards Assistant Accountant and eventual Management Accountant roles. The role offers training and development with the Finance Manager and a pathway to AAT/CIMA qualifications.

You will support monthly management accounts for all company divisions, perform VAT returns, month-end journals, payroll allocations, and inter-company reconciliations as part of a growing finance team.

Qualifications

• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly management accounts for all divisions.
• VAT returns and CIS returns processing.
• Month-end journals and fixed asset depreciation.
• Inter company reconciliations and recharges.
• Payroll journals and expense checks.
• Year-end processing and audit preparation.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for and ready for their next challenge of working towards Assistant Accountant and eventually Management Accountant. You will work closely with the Finance Manager on your training and development and there is also the potential to work towards your AAT/CIMA qualification.

Duties will include;

• You will assist with and eventually take ownership of production of monthly management accounts for all divisions of the company
• Cost valuation reconciliation monthly process
• Inter company reconciliation and recharges
• Fixed asset registers and depreciation
• Internal plant calculations
• Month end journals
• VAT returns
• Check and submit CIS returns
• Bank and card reconciliations
• Payroll journals and allocations
• Checking and paying employee expenses
• Year end processing and audit preparation
