Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team of a rapidly expanding services business near Penzance. The role focuses on producing monthly management accounts and supporting month-end processes.

The successful candidate will ideally be fully AAT qualified or have relevant vocational experience, with strong IT skills and the ability to work well in a close-knit team. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts.

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been re-engaged by one of our longstanding clients, a highly successful and rapidly expanding services business consisting of several group entities and operating across a broad range of sectors. They currently seek to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team, a permanent, full-time position to be based at the company’s headquarters close to Penzance.

This is a broad role which will play a key part in supporting the finance function, reporting into an experienced and friendly Finance Manager. Main duties of the role to include:

• Responsibility for thepreparation of the monthly management accounts
• Assisting with all month end procedures to tight deadlines
• Monitoring the aged debtor
• Ensure efficient accounts payable and receivable controls
• Bank/balance sheet reconciliations
• Overall responsibility for monthly payroll
• Supporting the Finance Manager with various ad-hoc duties and tasks
