Job summary

Talent Finance Ltd in Poole is recruiting an experienced Management Accountant for a hands-on role focused on transformation, MI and continuous improvement. You will work to enhance reporting, cost control and visibility across performance, cash, working capital and margins while collaborating with operations and commercial teams.

The ideal candidate has solid management accounting experience, is comfortable with change, and can roll up their sleeves in a fast-paced manufacturing/FMCG

Job description

Talent Finance are working with an established and evolving business in the Poole area to recruit an experienced Management Accountant into a key role within its finance team.

This is a hands on role with a strong focus on transformation, MI and continuous improvement. The business is evolving, so we're looking for someone with solid experience who is comfortable stepping into a challenging environment, getting stuck in and helping drive things forward.

You'll need strong management accounting fundamentals, but equally important is the ability to look beyond the numbers, improve reporting and processes and provide better visibility around performance, cash, working capital, cost and margin.

Key areas will include:

• Developing MI and reporting to provide clearer, more meaningful commercial insight
• Improving cashflow forecasting, working capital visibility and financial planning
• Analysing performance, trends, variances, costs and margins and turning this into actionable insight
• Supporting product costing, margin analysis and cost control
• Partnering with operational, supply chain and commercial teams
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and longer term planning
• Improving finance processes, controls and reporting
• Maintaining strong month end and management accounting disciplines while helping move the finance function forward

We're looking for someone with excellent Management Accounting experience who enjoys change, improvement and problem solving. You'll need to be resilient, adaptable and happy to roll your sleeves up when required. Experience within manufacturing, FMCG or another fast-paced operational environment would be particularly relevant.

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification would be beneficial, although very strong candidates qualified by experience will also be considered. Strong Excel and ERP systems experience are important.

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 DOE

Location: Poole

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday

Working: Predominantly office based initially, with some flexibility available
