Poole, Dorset

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Our client, a well-established and growing business based in Poole, is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accounting professional looking to take ownership of management reporting, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the continued success of a thriving organisation.

Working closely with the Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information while providing valuable insights that help drive business performance.

The Role

As Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial reports
• Monitoring and analysing company financial performance
• Identifying financial risks and areas for improvement, presenting recommendations to senior management
• Overseeing bookkeeping functions
• Evaluating financial systems and processes, recommending improvements where appropriate
• Producing accurate management accounts and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
• Communicating financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders across the business
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies

About You

• ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualification (or be qualified by experience)
• Previous experience in a Management Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar finance role
• Strong knowledge of management accounting and financial reporting principles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring team members
