Job summary

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA accountant.
• Experience within a Management Accountant role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence with financial systems.
• Experience preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Provide meaningful financial analysis and commentary to support business decisions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management processes.
• Undertake financial administration, reconciliations and internal audits.
• Assist with external audits and respond to audit queries.
• Work closely with managers across the business to provide financial insight and support.
• Develop and improve financial systems, controls and reporting processes.
• Monitor income and expenditure against budgets and highlight variances.
• Support and mentor junior members of the finance team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Maintain accurate financial records and compliance with company procedures.

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation within the construction sector for an experienced Management Accountant.

About You

• Previous experience within a Management Accountant role
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
• Experience preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasts
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
• Construction industry experience would be highly advantageous
• Proactive, organised and committed to continuous improvement
