Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team of a rapidly expanding services business near Penzance. The role focuses on producing monthly management accounts and supporting month-end processes.

The successful candidate will ideally be fully AAT qualified or have relevant vocational experience, with strong IT skills and the ability to work well in a close-knit team. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and team-working skills are essential.
• AAT qualification or equivalent accounting experience would be considered.
• Proficiency with digital accounting platforms like Sage/Xero is important.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Assist with month-end procedures to tight deadlines.
• Monitor aged debtors and manage payables/receivables controls.
• Carry out bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Take overall responsibility for monthly payroll.
• Support Finance Manager with ad-hoc duties.
