Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been re-engaged by one of our longstanding clients, a highly successful and rapidly expanding services business seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team at HQ near Penzance.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a focus on management reporting. The ideal candidate will be part/fully AAT qualified, with solid experience using Sage or Xero and strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Part/fully AAT qualification preferred.
• Experience with Sage or Xero.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Assist with month end procedures to tight deadlines.
• Ensure efficient accounts payable and receivable controls.
• Bank/balance sheet reconciliations.
• Create invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor aged debtors.
• Support Finance Manager with ad-hoc duties.

They currently seek to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team, a permanent, full-time position to be based at the company’s headquarters set in a beautiful location close to Penzance.

Main duties of the role to include:

• Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Assisting with all month end procedures to tight deadlines
• Ensure efficient accounts payable and receivable controls
• Bank/balance sheet reconciliations
• Creating invoices and dealing with any discrepancies and queries
• Monitoring the aged debtor
• Supporting the Finance Manager with various ad‑hoc duties and tasks
