Job summary

SF Partners is recruiting a Management Accountant for a manufacturing business based in Wednesbury. The role offers a salary of £50,000-£55,000 per annum and involves preparing monthly management accounts and cost analyses.

You will be responsible for month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and postings, as well as budgeting support and KPI reporting for management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Management Accountant role or similar.
• Strong month-end accounting experience.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and ability to build relationships outside finance.
• Good Excel skills.
• Manufacturing experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Handle accruals, prepayments and journal postings.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary on financial performance.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and margins.
• Produce financial reports and KPIs for management.
• Support year-end reporting and audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
• Partner with operational and non-finance stakeholders.
