Sitka Recruitment Ltd has partnered with a manufacturing business in the UK to recruit an experienced accountant for at least six months. The role is hands-on, covering month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and working closely with the operations team.

You will join a busy, supportive finance team and contribute across the finance function during a period of change and system improvements.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Assist with month-end close, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Input financial information into the group consolidation system and meet deadlines.
• Support rolling forecasts, budgets and ad hoc financial reporting.
• Provide practical business partnering support across the operation.
• Support transactional finance processes where required.
• Work with finance and operations to provide accurate financial information.
• Provide continuity during systems and business change.
• Get involved across the finance function to add value.

We are delighted to be assisting a valued client to find a talented and experienced accountant with a strong practical understanding of a manufacturing finance environment for a minimum of six months.

If you have an eye for detail and genuinely enjoy the nuts and bolts of manufacturing accounts, this could be a great opportunity to join an experienced, close-knit finance team in a busy and upbeat environment.

You’ll be joining at an important time for the business, providing additional expertise and support through a particularly busy period. This is very much a hands‑on role for someone happy to roll their sleeves up, work across different areas of finance and quickly become part of the team.

The Job

• Support preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Assist with month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and variance analysis
• Input financial information into the group consolidation system, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met
• Support preparation of rolling forecasts, budgets and ad hoc financial reporting
• Provide practical business partnering support across the operation
• Support transactional finance processes where required
• Work closely with finance and operational colleagues to provide accurate and useful financial information
• Provide continuity and additional support during a period of systems and business change
• Get involved across the finance function wherever your knowledge and experience can add value

Person Specification

• Professional accounting qualification, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent is desirable
• Strong practical accounting experience gained within manufacturing or a similar operational environment
• Good understanding of management accounts, month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting
• Experience of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Self-motivated, proactive and happy to take a hands‑on approach
• Confidence managing multiple priorities in a busy environment
• Strong business partnering skills
• Comfortable working through change and adapting as business priorities evolve
• Genuine team player who enjoys being part of a close‑knit working environment

Salary & Benefits
