This role supports the Finance Director in budgeting, forecasting, and cash management while collaborating with operational teams. The position offers competitive compensation of £55k to £60k plus a 15% bonus, working on-site with some flexibility.

Optimum TA is supporting a long-established manufacturing business with this key hire.

We’re looking for a qualified FP&A Accountant who enjoys partnering with senior leaders, shaping financial plans, and turning data into insight that genuinely drives decisions. If you like variety, pace and visibility across an entire site, this one will suit you perfectly.

The role

You’ll support the Finance Director across planning, reporting, cash management and compliance, while working closely with operational teams to help them understand performance and make sound, data-led decisions.

Day to day, you’ll be involved in:

• Budgeting, forecasting and longer-term strategic planning
• Month-end reporting, weekly KPIs and management accounts
• Analysing performance, risks and opportunities
• Supporting cost accounting and ERP processes
• Cash flow management and treasury controls
• Audit, SOX and financial compliance work
• Ad-hoc analysis to support operational and commercial decisions

What we’re looking for

• Experience in FP&A, management accounting or commercial finance
• Confident communicator who enjoys business partnering
• Comfortable in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong systems capability – Excel, PowerBI, Oracle or similar
