Job summary

RG Consultancy seeks an experienced Management Accountant to lead day-to-day financial management and support a major change programme, including ERP implementation projects. Responsibilities include monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, cash flow management and year-end liaison with auditors.

The role drives process improvements and financial controls across the function.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with ERP implementations or major finance system changes.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements during change.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing medium turnover business seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the organisation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day financial management of the business while also supporting a significant programme of change, including system improvements and ERP implementation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and production of monthly management accounts.
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of financial controls.
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Producing financial reports and providing meaningful insight to senior management.
• Cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Supporting year-end processes and liaising with external auditors.
• Managing and improving financial processes, controls and reporting.
• Business partnering with operational managers and directors.
• Supporting finance transformation initiatives and driving efficiencies across the finance function.
• Assisting with ERP implementation, system migration or finance system upgrades.
• Ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout periods of organisational change.

You will ideally possess:

• Part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Previous involvement in ERP system implementation, finance transformation projects, or major system migrations.
• Experience managing finance processes during periods of business change.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using modern ERP or accounting systems.
