Job summary

AD Finance Recruitment is partnering with a fast-growing UK group to recruit a Management Accountant who seeks real ownership, variety and progression.

You will lead month-end, produce packs with variance analysis, and own journals and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities, providing commercial insight to operational teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or finalist with strong management accounting.
• Solid month-end experience and multi-entity exposure.
• Detail-driven with stakeholder communication and SME/mid-market background.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly management accounts for multiple trading entities.
• Produce reporting packs with variance analysis and clear commentary.
• Prepare journals (accruals, prepayments, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany).
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
• Ensure revenue recognition and WIP reporting accuracy.
• Assist with statutory accounts, VAT and audits.

The Role

• Lead monthly management accounts for several trading entities.
• Produce accurate reporting packs with clear variance analysis.
• Prepare journals (accruals, prepayments, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany).
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
• Ensure consistent revenue recognition and accurate WIP reporting.
• Assist with statutory accounts, VAT and audit queries.
• Support integration of newly acquired businesses.
• Partner with managers to provide insight and commercial challenge.
• Contribute to systems and process improvements.

About You

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or finalist.
• Strong management accounting and month‑end experience.
• Comfortable working across multi‑entity or multi‑site structures.
• Solid understanding of revenue recognition and WIP.
• Detail‑driven, analytical and confident communicating with stakeholders.
• Experience in a growing SME or mid‑market environment.
